Murky Diving at Tweed River!

We went shore diving at Tweed River today. Visibility was nice for Tweed, but pretty poor compared to other dive sites such as our last trip to Julian Rocks, Byron Bay. It really makes us appreciate how clear the water was when we went diving with sharks!

Nonetheless, diving was fun and we got to try out some new toys – torch, diveslate, split fins and camera. The torch was bought on eBay for just over $20 and it was well worth the money, illuminating the murkiest parts under rocks and in small caves. Hope you enjoy!

  1. Was this fresh water? it almost looks like that it could be salt water? also i dont know what kind of camera you have but, we had a problem with ours and the water turning pictures a color like really green in monterey and blue in maui. they make filters to take green out and blue out of the water. they might have one for your camera too, but awesome pictures!!!!!!

    • Hey bud! Thanks. Yeah, it is was at a river just off the beach – we actually entered the dive at a beach and drifted along the river. So it is salt water. Yeah, it is a fairly new camera so I was still getting used to the settings. However, the water did seem rather green and certainly very murky when we were under. In about a month I’m going on another trip where I’ll spend some time getting colours sorted out nonetheless. Cheers!
